An Iznik pottery dish with a sloping rim and deep cavetto standing on a wide recessed foot, the centre finely decorated with a curving underglaze cobalt blue and green saz leaf, composed of small, overlapping, feathery-shaped, blue saz leaves, surrounded by sprays of large roses and slightly opened rose buds, painted in sealing wax red or Armenian bole, and blue tulips, all within a rim with stylised Obreaking wavesO motif, 26cm diameter, 17th century. Provenance: The property of a lady.
