late 19th/early 20th century, painted hide, with outer flaps and one inner flap decorated with traditional polychrome geometric designs, outlined in blue pigment, 13-1/2 x 26 in.

Note: Usher L. Burdick was a U.S. Congressman from North Dakota 1949-1959. The Online Virtual Archives of the Smithsonian Institution reference having in their collection 26 photographic prints of the Native American Collection of Usher L. Burdick, including photos of possibly Sioux beadwork.
