late 19th century, arched cornice surmounted by a reticulated rocaille crest and urn finials, conforming cabinet doors with shelf interior, two cartonnier drawers, serpentine lower drawer fitted with tooled baize writing surface, cabriole legs with caryatid mounts, sabots, 65 x 32 x 20 in.

Condition
structurally sound, finials with loose components, scattered losses, lifting and painted retouches to boulle surfaces, backboard of upper case does not fit evenly, cabinet door and drawers with slight uneven fit when opening and closing due to case warping, lifting to molding along legs, scattered shrinkages, abrasions, retouches and minor losses to ebonized surfaces, minor oxidation to bronze mounts, other general wear from age and use
