Description
Early Kentucky Sugar Chest, Circa 1800. Cherry Lift Top Chest on Hepplewhite Legs. Evidence of 3 dividers, now gone. A custom made tin liner with 3 compartments is in the chest. Tin liner appears to be mid to late 19th Century. Refinished with typical blemishes.No structural damage or repairs. Hinges appear original. Locking, but no key. Provenance: Bought directly from family member. Chest originated in Somerset, a small town in southern Kentucky. Family name to be given to buyer. 18.5"W x 18.5"D x 28.5"H
