Molded top and paneled sides, with marquetry depicting floral urns, birds, and foliate motifs, on paw-form feet.

The Estate of G. Franklin Ludington, New York City.

Condition
marquetry in good overall condition, with minor discoloration and rippling commensurate with age, although stable and secure, the lid with minor fading to top; lid hinges appear to have pulled out at some point in the past, and have been secured with fill to interior; front two feet with repaired breaks, and all feet appear to have some stabilization or reinforcement over time; the back right-facing foot may be a replacement, although if true is an old replacement; has some scattered old worm holes commensurate with age; interior possibly originally had dividers which are now missing (based on grooves to interior walls)
