Thence by descent to the present consignor.
Note
The majority of the items from this collection were acquired or ordered by Christine O. Groves (Burton) to furnish her home, built 1922, a Colonial Revival stucco mansion located at 225 Northway, Baltimore, Maryland. The house still stands.
Condition
the frames with some minor noted repairs and selective retouching; one mirror with a couple losses to veneer to ears; both mirrors with some age / shrinkage cracks; the mirror plates appear to be old or original, with some flecking and dark inclusions commensurate with age; the backboards appear to be old, and have evidence of former hanging devices, now with later wood support brackets installed to both for hanging, as these are very heavy
