Description: A stunning and unique antiquity. This is a 76 slide drawer specimen cabinet purchased in NYC at the turn of the century for a well-to-do family of coin collectors.

This piece has been in its original family since new and they are finally ready to find it a new home! Perfect for collectors of all shapes and sizes.

The unit has 76 slide drawers in total, all the drawers are faced with burl maple, and the case is sold antique Mahogany with carved designs throughout. Skeleton key locks secure all the doors from sticky fingers!

Made sometime during the late 19th century.

Drawers are 3/4" wide at the face, and 3/8" deep inside the storage area.

Condition: This piece is over 120 years old. It shows signs of age and use in scratches, Knicks, and dings to the finish. some small areas of damage can be seen in minor finish loss to the top, and small pieces of trim missing. Overall the cabinet is a stunning example of a period untouched survivor. With all the wonderful bumps and bruises of a well loved antique.

All of the items in this auction are located at our Oakville CT gallery. Pickup at our gallery will be done BY APPOINTMENT only Monday-Friday 10am to 3pm (Saturday pickup is avalable on 7/15). All items must be picked up by Friday July 21 2023. Any items picked up after 7/21/2023 will be subject to storage fees of $5 per day per lot unless other arrangements have been made with the auctioneer.
