A World Wide Photos agency black and white glossy photograph taken at the height of Cold War tensions just weeks after the disastrous U.S. failed Bay of Pigs "Operation Mongoose." The Vienna summit was a two-day summit meeting held June 3rd and 4th, 1961, in Vienna, Austria, between President John F. Kennedy and First Secretary (Premier) Nikita Khrushchev of the Soviet Union. Bears a typewritten press label on verso titled "Friendly Families at Vienna," depicting John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy, Nikita Khrushchev with Austrian President Adolf Schaerf and others.
