DESCRIPTION: Oil painting on board titled "After Mass" depicting a lady dressed in 19th Century fashions stepping out of church after mass. This painting is signed "Bouchet" and is painted by artist Anatol Bouchet (French, 1930). Anatol Bouchet was a impressionist painter primarily known for his paintings of Parisian cityscapes and street scenes, as well as landscapes and marine scenes from Southern France and the Riviera. Bouchet was born in Marseille, France in 1930 and was the son of a well known artist. Having finished his elementary education there, he traveled to Paris to study and quickly became involved in the art societies of Parisian painters and artists. This painting depicts a scene after the original painting by artist Francisco Pradilla y Ortiz (Spanish, 1848). Framed.
