Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Vase, modern, is densely decorated with underglaze painted scene of a porcelain village that shows the process of making porcelain from throwing the ceramics to firing them in a dragon kiln with ascending chambers for high temperature firing. In one scene, potters throw the porcelains on a wheel, in another workers stack them into the kiln and put wood in the furnace. Customers visit shops in the village to purchase porcelains. These narrative scenes emerge from a background of densely painted trees that fills the entire surface of the vase.
