One electronically tested 14KT yellow gold ladies cast & assembled ruby and diamond pendant with chain. Condition is new, good workmanship. The pendant features a ruby drop set within an elaborated diamond and ruby wreath, completed by a diamond set 14KT yellow gold bail. The pendant is supported by an eighteen inch length 14KT yellow gold designer style chain with rhodium accents, terminating in a lobster claw clasp. The wreath is accented with ten round 1.80mm rubies approximate total weight of 0.43cts. Bright polish finish with rhodium accents. Identified with markings of “14K”. Containing: One prong set pear mixed cut natural ruby, measuring 16.70 x 12.00 x 7.75mm, approximate weight of 12.19ct., clarity is heavily included, type II, dark, very slightly brownish, slightly purplish red color, (GIA slpR 7/3), cut is good. Transmitting light somewhat diffusely, transparent to translucent. Naturally occurring internal & external characteristics are present. Indications of laboratory high temperature heat treatment, with glass & flux additives. Graded in the setting. Ruby has a low tolerance to rhodium plating, repolishing the surface, & ultrasonic cleaning. One hundred forty bead set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 1.50 – 1.40 x 0.87mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 140 stones = 1.63ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity I-1 to I-2.
