Eminem Signed 1st Ed. Copy of "Angry Blonde"

A signed, first edition copy of Angry Blonde (New York: HarperCollins, 2000) by Marshall Mathers III, more popularly known as the influential rapper Eminem. Signed on bookplate at front end page as his famous persona: "Slim Shady/ D-12". Contents include commentary on many of his songs and images that had not been previously published. The original dust cover, adorned with original Parental Advisory sticker, has been maintained and exhibits moderate wear including tearing and bumping at corners and spine. Fair to good condition overall.

Marshall Bruce Mathers III (b. 1972), more widely known as Eminem, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. After releasing his debut album Infinite in 1996, he would gain more mainstream popularity following the release of his second, The Slim Shady LP (1999), which was produced under Dr. Dre's record label Aftermath Entertainment. It was during this period that Mathers took on the persona of "Slim Shady" in his music, a sadistic and oftentimes violent alter ego, which allowed him to express anger toward more controversial topics within his lyrics. As his career continued to take off in the early 2000s, Mathers also became a founding member of the hip-hop collective D12, which performed with him on several occasions. Today, he is considered among the best-selling music artists of all time, being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.
