Description
Japan Meiji Period (1868-1912), consisting of a lidded 'Dragon' teapot of ovoid form with an applied lizard shaped handle & dragon spout, decorated overall with peonie blossoms in enamels & gilt, , measuring 6 1/4" high, plus a lidded teapot of compressed circular form, decorated overall with geometric & foliate motifs in enamels & gilt, interspersed by hand painted figural vignettes, measuring 3" high x 6" diameter, together with a cup & saucer decorated with figures and geometric designs in enamels & gilt, the welled saucer measuring 5 1/8" diameter, and lastly a pair of 'dragon' vases of baluster form, decorated overall with various figures in moriage, enamels & gilt, one with repair to the rim, measuring 7 1/2" high. All with various clan, family & artist marks on the underside of the bases.
