by William Hunter, London 1857, of large proportions, baluster form, the hinged cover with helmet-form finial, engraved in the Etruscan taste with palmettes, anthemion and scrolling foliage, the handle with two ivory insulators. 27cm high, 25.4 troy ounces
With non-transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number VNCRTK2F
The marks on the neck are clear. The handle is firm in the sockets. The cover closes neatly, and the hinge is in good condition. No personalised engraving, evidence of erasure or thinning. In generally very good condition commensurate with age.
