Description
WW2 GERMAN DRK STICK PIN MAKER MARKED GES. GESCH. This DRK Stick Pin is a very attractive enamel piece, in outstansing condition. The pin is in the form of the Nazi-era German Red Cross organizational emblem, with a distinctive swastika-adorned eagle clutching a cross. The high quality red and black enamel are perfect, with no damage. Nearly all of the original silver finish is present on the metal, with normal age toning as well as slight edge wear. The reverse of this DRK Stick Pin is flat, with a recessed area made to either accommodate a stick pin (as is the case here) or a safety pin style attachment fitting. Nearly all of the silvering is present on the reverse, with some slight wear that exposes hints of the brassy-colored base metal. This piece is maker marked “Ges. Gesch.” indicating a legally trademarked design. The stick pin fitting is neatly soldered in place, with no repairs. The knurled round pin is textbook. Overall, this pin remains in near mint condition.
