Item Details

Description

A large pair of Aesthetic Movement brass and acid etched glass hanging wall lanterns, fourth quarter 19th century, the cylindrical glass shades decorated with flowers and birds.

Dimensions: Height overall 28 1/2in; width 10 1/2in; depth 13 3/4in.

Provenance: From a local estate.

Condition

The metalwork with wear, toning, minor bending, small losses and tears to brass shades. The etched shades appear to be in generally good condition overall. The sconces have been converted to electricity with 20th century plugs. Dust accumulation in crevices. One sconce lacking a nut and bolt to the sconce shade. We cannot guarantee the safety and functionality of the electrical components.
