A Renaissance Revival Carved Oak Hall Clock, Retailed by Simons Bro. & Co. Philadelphia, fourth quarter 19th century, the hood with broken arch pediment and stop reeded columns, the trunk with stop reeded quarter columns flanking the beveled glass long door above a plinth base, raised on carved paw feet, the arched brass dial with rolling moon phase having an engraved silvered chapter ring having applied brass Arabic numerals, inscribed to the center 'SIMONS BRO & Co. PHILADELPHIA', with subsidiary seconds dial and date dial within foliate cast spandrels, the twin train movement striking on a single gong.

Condition
The case retaining its original finish, with general marks, wear, nicks, scuffs and surface scratches. Rubbing to highpoints of case. Wear heaviest to paw feet and corners. With two lead filled brass weights, pendulum, and winding crank. The brass dial with light wear and oxidation. The pendulum top of pendulum needs to be repaired where it hangs onto the movement. We cannot guarantee the completeness and functionality of the clock's movement.
