Another of Jimmy Doolittle wins the 1932 Thompson Trophy race in a Gee-Bee R-1 Super Sportster. A page of the March 1928 National Geographic with Charles Lindbergh on one side, and the U.S. Navy dirigible "Los Angeles" (A harbinger of the coming aerial age) on the other.
