WESTERN NEW YORK PAINT-DECORATED POPLAR APOTHECARY CUPBOARD, low, narrow form with 23 graduated drawers, solid ends with cut-out feet, includes an old ink-inscribed note which reads, in part, "Cabinet Belonged / To a / Dr. Preston / in Dansville, N.Y. / (found in / attic on Elizabeth St." Retains an early grain-painted surface and possibly original fiery opalescent knobs. Mid 19th century. 32 1/2" H, 72" W, 13" D.

Condition
Good overall condition with minor to moderate areas of wear and discoloration. Two small drawers likely restored. Backboards probably replaced. Possibly fitted with a cupboard top at one time.
