Description
A SILK EMBROIDERY WITH BUDDHIST TREASURES, QING
China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Finely embroidered in Satin stitch on a white silk ground, depicting reserves enclosing girls and a pagoda, surrounded by precious vessels issuing peaches and other auspicious fruits and flowers, all within a border of alternating ruyi heads and bats. Mounted with a passepartout and set in a vintage lacquered wood frame.
Condition: Good condition with minor wear, little soiling, and staining. The margin with few small tears.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
