Pair of Chinese Ming Dynasty Jiajing Yellow and Red Porcelain Gourd Bottle Vases. Potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slightly concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in red color which contrast against yellow color depicted of imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. The glaze has smooth texture and moisturizing, glossy quality. Which attracting unceasingly admiration.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Jiajing Reign Period of The Great Ming Dynasty.

Over all in EXCELLENT Condition. Natural imperfection on the medium (porcelain), regardless from any major damages; includes minor scratches. Consider normal due to the ages.
