DESCRIPTION: Bronze statue after Giambologna (also known as Giovanni Bologna) of the Roman god Mercury. Mercury is nude, wears a winged helmet and stands above a human head. He carries a caduceus staff in his left hand and a bag in his right hand (where older versions have the right hand pointing upwards). On polished stone base.
