The artist exploited the natural vein and color to carve this bottle so that the pattern resembles the glowing sunset sky of early evening and colorful clouds. This technique is called Chiau Se(巧色). H. 9.9 cm; 44 grams.

From Dr. Robert I-San Lin (#5606), 86-year old senior Chinese artwork appraiser appointed by China Commission on Artwork Authentication, whose grandfather was a major Chinese antique collector/dealer in early 1900s.
