Two Belgian (Heliodore Stevens) tin glazed blue and white tobacco jars
mid 19th century
Each surmounted by brass lids, flanked by lion mask handles and inscribed TABAC DU PRINCE REGENT, one impressed STEVENS BRUSSEL.

Condition
Each with crazing overall. Chips and losses to glaze overall, most noticeable on lion mask handles. Chips to rims and footrims. Scattered pinpricks and dimples. One restored at rim and footrim and area below one lion mask. Lids with wear, polish residue in crevices, repairs at some joins with silvering visible, typical dings and dents.
