An English stained oak metamorphic chair/steps
second half 19th century
height 34 1/2in (87.5cm); width 16 1/2in (42cm); depth of seat 14in (35.5cm); height of steps 35in (89cm)

Condition

Structurally sound. With an overall dark tone to timber. Replaced section of timber along seat edge as visible in catalogue photos. Hinges replaced or reset. Securing hooks to base intact. Notable scuffs to areas in contact with floor.
