YVES KLEIN (1928-1962) / Monochrome Blue painting with sponges on wood. Item measures 34 x 23 x 3.5 Inc with the frame and 32 x 20 x 1 Inches without it. Yves Klein is a very important French artist and contributor to the modern art. He greatly expanded the horizons of artistic vision for modern art world as expressive/abstract , conceptual and pioneer of performance artist as well. His signature style, in his desire to transfer the ethereal sky to canvas, was blue color which he later patented to famous IKB(International Klein Blue).Fantastic example of the artist "blue period".
