BIOGRAPHY:
An early member of the New Haven Paint & Clay Club, Elizabeth K. Luquiens studied with Delecluse and Mucha in Paris, and on her return to America, she studied with the New Haven Paint & Clay Club member George A. Thompson. She exhibited with the club in 1905, and thereafter showed her work in nearly every annual show for over forty years. She submitted oils, watercolors and drawings of landscapes, floral pieces and genre scenes, and the 1930's, several works based on her travels in Mexico and Spain. She was Club President from 1933 to 1934.
