JOE MEDWICK'S 12TH HOME RUN BASEBALL OF 1939
This ONL Frick ball was hit in St. Louis during a 4 - 3 win for the Cardinals over the Philadelphia Phillies on September 12, 1939. The ball has been penned in dark black with the score, the battery of "Pearson --- Davis" as the pitcher and catcher the home run was hit off, as well as "McGee - Bowman - Padgett" as the two Cardinal pitchers for that day and the catcher (Padgett). Panel with the Spalding logo is penned "Our Joe's Home Run Ball No. 12". The sweet spot penned "St. Louis - Sept. 12th = 39'.

This great St. Louis Baseball Cardinal slugger is still to date the last National League baseball player to hit for the Triple Crown in 1937. Medwick was active in Major League Baseball from 1932-1948.
