Description
This is a Victor Schoolhouse Model # XXV. This machine is an untouched original survivor. Has its original golden oak finish. In overall average condition. Some finish loss mainly on the top and left side. Finish is slightly alligatored throughout as well as some paint spatters here and there. See photos. The exhibition reproducer, tone arm, rear bracket, and horn elbow are all original and in overall good condition with the exception of the horn elbow which has some dents and peeling plating. See photos. Has original winding crank and needle cup. Motor winds and runs. The removable top cover has all of its original hardware and can be hung off of the back as intended. Has its original pullout shelf in front. The horn has its original spearpoint oak finish. Has its original finish and decal. Is slightly alligatored here and there. There are several shrinkage cracks on the large end in the inside as well as some loose veneer near the small end near the coupler as well as a small inside which has been filled. When assembled and in playing position the horn decal is upside down and on the wrong side indicating that this horn was from another machine, Horn is 22: Diameter X 24" L. Approximate overall dimensions of the cabinet are 19" W X 25" D X 40" T when covered.
