Description
Three (3) German polychrome and parcel gilt porcelain figures. 1st item: Meissen "Sense of Smell" figure, emblematic of the Five Senses, depicting a woman in 18th-century attire seated beside a tea table, with fragrant items including a basket of flowers and a bottle of perfume. Blue crossed swords maker's mark, impressed numbers, and inscribed "E.'5." to underside. 4 7/8" H x 4 1/4" W x 3 1/8" D. 2nd item: Meissen figure, possibly a Cries de Paris figure, depicting a woman in 18th-century attire and a feathered hat standing barefoot and holding a pheasant. Blue crossed swords maker's mark and inscribed "No. 21. J." to underside. 6 1/8" H x 2 1/8" W x 2 1/4" D. 1st and 2nd items circa 1880. 3rd item: KPM figure depicting a classically dressed woman playing a pair of small hand cymbals and dancing, with a pair of drums and sticks at her feet. Blue scepter and red orb maker's marks, impressed letters, and impressed numbers to underside. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition
1st item: Minute area of glaze restoration to one corner of underside of base measuring 1" x 7/8". 2nd item: Minor scattered marks to figure's hat and left arm, likely in the making. 3rd item: Two minor areas of restoration to blue accent sash of figure's clothing.
