Description
Scarce souvenir from the 1936 Berlin Olympics, a porcelain figure of a running Olympic torch bearer, the 'torch' meant to bear a wick which would fit into a small reservoir and filled with oil making the statue double as an oil lamp! Unfortunately, the wick in this example is missing. The statue stands about 10 in. tall and displays Olympic rings on the base. The number '12594’ appears on the underside of the base. Untouched, mint condition.
