Description
Two original 1936 advertisement brochures created by a nearby town who hoped to get their share of revenue from the Berlin Olympics! The first, 4 x 9 in. folded, advertises the town of Garmisch in the Bavarian Alps, which dubs itself 'The Olympics Place' and shows the many activities and scenes it has to offer the visitor. The second, also 1936, 4 x 7 in. folded, advertises the cable cars of Garmisch. A tourist: '...for only 5 Reichsmark can drive there and back into the high alpine mountain of the Kreuzeck or Sonnenberg, with its magnificent world view, and enjoy a half day of leisure...'. Together with a 1940 brochure for the Grainau Valley, with images of beautiful mountain lakes and other scenes to enjoy. Three pieces, very good.
