Quite rare heavy, navy blue 19 x 1.25 in. wool cuff title embroidered in white: 'Kriegsberichter der Luftwaffe' ('Luftwaffe War Reporter'). The insignia has sewn top and bottom rolled edges with an old safety pin securing the ends so that the cuff title could be worn with a variety of clothing. Accompanied by a group of German newspaper clippings spanning the length of the war, many citing 'Kriegsberichter Werner Fischer', clearly the owner of the piece. His stories were largely political in content and indicate a reporter of greater importance. Very good.
