Antique Autograph Signed Sepia-Toned Photograph of Major General Charles Lewis Scott on Horseback. Signed in ink on lower right, "With kindest regards, C. L. Scott". Online research reveals a biography of Charles Lewis Scott with a lengthy service career from 1928-1946. In the 1930s, he managed the US Olympic Equestrian Team, was a Cavalry Instructor, was the Commanding Officer of the 13th US Cavalry, etc. He retired with the rank of Major General of the US Army. Photograph is mounted onto a heavy paper board which is about 16" x 11-1/2". Condition: soiling, scuffs, edge wear and edge tears. Please see photos for additional condition review.
