A WOOD NETSUKE OF A FOREIGNER WITH A TELESCOPE

Standing and leaning to his left, bemusedly peering through a short telescope, wearing a loose skirt tied at the waist with his chest exposed, his long curly hair loose and brushing over his shoulders, the telescope lens inlaid in shell; signed Shugetsu. 7cm (2 7/8in) high.
