Mt. Washington 3 Cut Octagon Cut Glass 2 Part Compote

Item Details

Description

This is an American Brilliant cut glass two part compote. It is cut by the Mt. Washington Glass Company in their 3 Cut Octagon pattern. The top plate lifts off of the base. The bottom of the plate has some of the hobs cut a bit shorter so it sets down securely in place on the base and will swivel around without falling off. The base is heavy and has a flute cut with the pattern cut on the bottom. This is a quality blank with very deep cutting. Circa 1900
