19c VICTORIAN GARNET SILVER BANGLE BRACELET Xmas 1886

An Antique 19th Century Victorian 15.28 ct.tw. Caliber Cut Garnet Adorned Hinged Silver Bangle Bracelet with a stunning "Marion L Turner. Mt. Savage Md. Xmas 1886." dedication on the inside. The garnets are evenly matched in size and cut and have a deep rich ox blood color. There are 120 garnets with a total carat weight of approximately 15.28ct. The clasp is push button-spring and works perfectly. We believe the rose tone safety chain was added afterwards (and may or may not be gold) and does not detract from the piece's overall warmth and charm. Although we could not find any information on Marion L Turner, Mt. Savage is a small town in Maryland. This bracelet is piece of 19th century Victorian history and would make a priceless conversation piece addition to any fine collection.
