Pair of 19th c. Hand-Colored Documentary Engravings of Chinese Life by Reverend George N. Wright, drawn by Thomas Allom, Circa. 1843 1) "Dinner Party at a Mandarin's House" engraved by G. Paterson; and, 2) "Ladies of A Mandarin's Family At Cards" engraved by A. Wilmore. These are 2 of 12 of the larger version of the documentary style engravings from the series called "China the Scenery Architecture and Social Habits of The Great Empire" by Reverend Wright, as drawn by Thomas Allom. Each is custom matted and framed under glass. Approx. Size: Frame: 15" H x 18" W; Image: 8.5" H x 10.5" W. Each engraving is in excellent condition.
