Item Details

Description

Group of three gilt bronze animal figures mounted on black bases comprising, two Christopher (Christophe) Fratin (French 1801-1864), desk seals "Bear On A Tree II" and a monkey on a tree, circa 1860, now on stone bases, together with a small leaping unicorn figure with Chinese dolphin on an acrylic base, the seals both signed in mold and the monkey with possible foundry mark, the unicorn having no apparent mark.

Approximate dimensions: overall monkey desk seal h. 4.5", w. 2.5", w. 1.5".

Condition

Matrixes for both desk seals appear to have been drilled for mounting, gilding is strong, no apparent chips to bases.
