Description

Pair of Maitland Smith three drawer chests, each having a polished coconut shell body, patinated metal panels to top and sides, elephant heads handles, and rising on square tapered feet, brass plaque with maker's mark to interior of drawer.

Approximate dimensions: h. 32", w. 34", d. 20".

Condition

Structurally stable, scattered oxidation to metal, one with red paint splash/line to front two drawers, both having scattered white scuffs, and a few small chips to shells -- not distracting. Drawers glide easily.
