Set of 6 Demitasse cups in the Green Band pattern sidemarked with entwined CPR monogram, bottom stamped Grindley Hotelware Co. England 2-49 or 5-47, and measure 2 1/4". Cups show general signs of use with light utensil and stacking wear with light scratch marks. Two cups do have 1/4" glaze crack on handle with one extending about 1" behind the handle. Otherwise no chips or breaks in the group.The purchaser of this lot will be only the second owner beyond the Canadian Pacific Railway. These items were purchased by the family of the consignor directly through their CP Bygones vault auction in 1977. They were the first and until now only private owners of these items. These items have not been passed from collector to collector, and this is the first time they will have changed hands in forty six years.
