Set of 4 railroad dining car bread and butter plates in the Green Band pattern top marked with entwined CPR monogram and bottom marked Grindley Hotelware Co. England Cassidy's. Dishes measure 7 1/4" and all show standard signs of utensil use and stacking wear. One plate does have a large 1" piece missing on the underside edge. Another plate has a 5" crack through the top with chips missing along the crack, as well as a few tiny chips along the edge. These items were purchased by the family of the consignor directly through their CP Bygones vault auction in 1977. They were the first and until now only private owners of these items. These items have not been passed from collector to collector, and this is the first time they will have changed hands in forty six years.
