Description
An early 20th-century English sterling silver whiskey flask or liquor bottle with hinged lid. Crowned monogram ER VIII is engraved on the front of the piece. Sheffield town mark, lion passant guardant, letter K for the year 1927, makers mark G and J WH for G & J W Hawksley Ltd. are by the neck of the flask. Marked 135, 40 Oz on the bottom. Weight: 135 grams. The monogram is the Royal Cypher of Edward VIII, king of the UK in 1936. Silverware And Barware, Historical Collectibles.
