Six coins affixed in a case with plastic top, showcasing Da Vinci's concept of manned flight, the first balloon ascent, the first Wright Brothers flight, Lindbergh's transatlantic flight, Earhart's flight around the world, and the Apollo 11 moon landing. Label reads "Milestones in Manned Flight presented to General A.H. Stackpole by Trans World Airlines 1969." Albert Hummel Stackpole (1897-1971) was an American military officer who served in both World Wars and was later promoted to the rank of major general. 10" wide x 10" deep x 11" high.
