Description

A fine 18th C. carved walnut arm chair, arched shell carved crest rail over double scrolled back splat, with well-formed arms on cabriole legs with shell carved knees and claw & ball feet. The scale and carving appears to be of the Chapin workshop, however composed from walnut not cherry. 40.5”H x 30”W x 20”D x 17” seat H.

Condition

Fracture to proper right back stile see photo, once over upholstered showing tack marks in frame, other blemishes, no upholstery on seat.
