Description
Guild D-50 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar
made in Rhode Island, U.S.A., 1970s, serial number DD101572, spruce top with bound mahogany back and sides; rosewood finger board with pearloid position dots, the headstock with Guild tuners and inlaid logo.
Guitar's overall length 42 in.
The interior contains a rattlesnake's rattle, which popular folklore claims will keep a fiddle's interior free of spiders...and enhance the instrument's sound. It seems to be working for this guitar on both counts.
From the Collection of Sandy Cates, Randleman, North Carolina

Condition
Well maintained and cared for, this vintage dreadnought has the booming sound you would expect from a siege cannon. Remarkable surfaces with play wear restricted to the pick guard. The interior label has lifted off and is presently in the case's compartment. Very Good condition.
