Description
Southern Cherry Linen Press Circa 1830. Doors have hand hewn chamfered panels. Base has three dovetailed drawers. Upper portion has three shelves. Linen press has Applewood keyhole escutcheons. Measures 84 1/4" high X 47" wide X 20 7/8" deep. Provenance: Lynne Fairchild Spragins Dodson estate, Jackson, Tennessee. Condition- One keyhole escutcheon is missing. Missing a 1" X 3/4" piece of wood from bottom right-hand side of one door. Crown mold has been replaced. 80% of backboards have been replaced with wood paneling. Bottom draw has original bottom board, two upper drawers' bottoms have been replaced with plywood. Original pulls have been replaced with Victorian brass pulls. Missing a 10" piece of molding on one end. See photos.
