Description
DESCRIPTION: American Hepplewhite low case of drawers. C. 1790. The form consists of four splayed French bracket feet supporting a four graduated drawer chest. Herringbone pattern inlaid. Each drawer also contains a string inlay, as does the top edge of the case. The chamfered corners terminate in lambs' tongues and also feature vertical string inlays. Case with oval Hepplewhite brasses appears to be original. Each keyhole contains an inlaid tapered lozenge. MEASUREMENTS: 38" wide x 20-1/8" deep x 36-3/4" high. DESCRIPTION: Old finish and wear consistent with age. Light scuffing. Ring on top. Wear to back. PS. IMPORTANT: Before bidding, please read the terms and conditions.
