Elmer M. Thurston (American, 1873-1952). An original antique oil painting on canvas. Titled, "Number 4 Florida." An early 20th Century Miami Beach landscape in a painterly Impressionist style depicting palm trees and other rich floral forms. Artist signature and dated 1922 to lower right. Hand painted title, with printed artist biographical information, affixed to verso. The artist was active in the early 20th Century Los Angeles art community. Presented in a gallery quality carved gilt frame.

Condition: Good to fair condition having mild age related surface wear, with prior restoration to lower left quarter, and some craquelure evident. Frame having moderate storage wear to edges and corners and loss to upper right. Estate fresh to the market.
