Description
An Italian studio art pottery wall display plate designed by Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988). Produced for the Tema E Variazioni ("Theme and Variations") series. This is plate Number 78. A monochromatic figural work depicting a mysterious young female figure, modeled after opera singer Lina Cavalieri (1874-1944), her face shielded by a black lace veil. Underside stamped TEMA E VARIAZIONI FORNASETTI MILANO MADE IN ITALY with Fornasetti eye and paint brush backstamp and limited edition number 78. Accompanied with original black, white, and gold box with manufacturer list of additional plates.
Dimensions: .5 X 10 X 10 in.
Condition: Good overall condition having normal surface wear. Estate fresh to the market.
